John Court gives two Artist Talks

John Court (UK/FI) is the current guest teacher at the Nordic Art School. For two weeks, he gives a workshop in drawing and performance. He is also currating the upcoming students exhibition that will open in Tupakkamakasiini in Pietarsaari in the beginning of April.

John Court got his fine art's degree from Norwich School of Art and Design. He mainly works with performance but is also a very skillfull drawer and sculpturer. He has had exhibtions all around Scandinavia, in England and made performances during the Venice Biennale 2005 and Liverpool Biennale 2004 and participated in the Guangzhou Live art festival in China. John Court is also a very skillfull teacher, who gives workshops at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki, at Novia School of Applied Sciences and at the Nordic Art School. He is based in Tornio, in Northern Finland. 

During his visit at the Nordic Art School, John gives two Artist Talks. The first one on Tuesday 18th of March is about his drawings. 6 p.m. Next weeks Tuesday, 25th of March, he tells about his career as a performance artist, also 6 p.m. Very welcome!
